The Metropolitan Museum of Art features two of Joan's designs in their Permanent Collection of their Costume Institute, and she has even been installed in the Costume Collection of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.     

Joan makes it a point to attend fabric shows in Paris twice a year. Her design inspiration comes from European fashion and couture fashion publications.
