Wedding dress "white" is a little different for every bride. One of the reasons that we consider ourselves the best wedding dress store in Miami and online is that we believe that each bride should pick the color of dress that looks the best on her and makes her feel the most beautiful. White, ivory, and champagne colored dresses may look very similar to the untrained eye. If you believe that you need a white dress just because that's what is expected, don't count out these other shades.
In the 80's, 99.9% of all wedding dresses sold were white. No one wanted ivory, but a big reason for that is because ivory in the 80's had a very yellow shade to it.
In the 90's dress sales changed. It was closer to half of the dresses sold being white and half being ivory.
Today nearly 99% of Brides of America wedding dresses sold are ivory. High end fabric that might be thought of as white to a shopper is most likely actually ivory. Today's ivory is not yellowish like before, but more of an off-white. White dresses sold now are more of a very bright white and are often made of a synthetic fabric.
You need to pick the wedding dress that gives you that moment where you look in the mirror and just know that it's "the one." Brides of America is happiest when you are happy. Choose the dress that is right for you, no matter what the color.
