You have most likely been saving up for your wedding day, but the ladies that you ask to be in your bridal party probably haven't. Decide on your initial shopping entourage.
If you will be having quite a few bridesmaids by your side, you may want to pick only 1 or 2 of them to go on the first dress shopping outing. Too many differing opinions can make the entire process a lot more difficult than it needs to be. The small group can narrow down the dress choices for the entire group to pick from. Make sure that you schedule an appointment for each shopping trip so that you receive the store's uninterrupted attention. If any bridesmaids live too far away to join you, tell them to go to a dress store in their area and have a professional take their measurements to insure that they are correct. It can be risky to do it on your own if you are not used to it.
